DESCRIPTION

The Maritime Museum and Science Center in Szczecin (Morskie Centrum Nauki) has a modern design, resembling the hull of a ship with a height of 14 meters and a length of 122 meters.

The Maritime Museum and Science Center is open to the public from 2021, with a total of 10,000 m² of floor space.

APPLIED METHODS

Krystaline Add1 was used in the concrete to provide effective waterproof protection for the concrete. In addition, it also served an important secondary purpose, since some of the concrete was poured underwater, the concrete required a viscosity modifier to be placed effectively in this environment. Krystaline Add1 not only waterproofs the concrete in such an aggressive environment, it also functions as a viscosity modifier creating a fluid yet cohesive concrete, eliminating the need to add a very expensive viscosity modifier.

Krystaline Add1 was used as the only waterproofing system in this extremely aggressive and demanding environment.

RESULTS

A complex project in an extremely demanding and aggressive environment, completely dry thanks to the advanced Krystaline system.
