While Krystaline Add1 was used in the concrete to provide an effective waterproof protection for the concrete, it also served an important secondary purpose. Since part of the concrete was poured underwater, the concrete required a viscosity modifier to be effectively placed in this environment. Krystaline Add1 not only waterproofs concrete in an aggressive environment such as this one, it also functions as a viscosity modifier creating a flowable yet cohesive concrete eliminating the need for the addition of a very expensive viscosity modifier.

Krystaline Add1 was added at the plant during the batching process in 1 kg water soluble bags, and was used as the sole waterproofing system in this extremely demanding aggressive environment.
